At Lion StoneWorks, we offer a full service design and fabrication for outdoor living spaces. We specialize in building in the Colorado climate.
The right stone for Denver outdoors (our recommendations)
Quartzite – Ultra-hard, naturally heat/UV-resistant; ideal at the grill and high-use prep zones.
Granite – Time-tested outside; excellent strength with periodic sealing.
Soapstone – Naturally non-porous and chemically tolerant; great for easy-clean prep areas.
Good to know: Marble/dolomite will patina and can etch outdoors—best as accents away from heavy spill/acid zones. Engineered quartz is generally not for exterior use unless labeled outdoor-rated by the manufacturer.
